Job Description:
The purpose of this role is to maintain the on-time production of the assembly with a primary focus on quality, safety, and organization of workstations.
Education/work experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
Basic Qualifications:
Technical knowledge and ability to read instructions, service manuals, specifications, drawings, etc.
Ability to use tools (micrometers, installation tools, torque wrenches, power tools) and test equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of quality control procedures.
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Responsibilities:
Read and follow instructions and established procedures.
Collect all materials and tools needed to complete the procedure.
Use precision tools to measure and assist in the assembly of the engine using both power and manual tools.
Recognize the correct orientation of complex components.
Ensure that all engine fasteners and tightened and torque to the correct value.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
Keep records of production measurements, quantities, and time.
Report issues, malfunctions, or defective components.
Maintain a “tour ready” work environment.
Other assigned duties.
Physical Requirements:
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
Able to stand on cement floors for 8+ hours.
Ability to lift and install engine components weighing 40 lbs repeatedly and 80lbs occasionally.
Environment/Equipment and Machinery
This position is in a manufacturing environment, primary focus on assembly area. Regular exposure to noise, oil, paint, lubricants, sealants, and cleaning chemicals.
