**New Upgrade**
Reduce the burn of long portage carries with the brand new Seat/Yoke from Spring Creek Manufacturing.

2012 Boundary Waters in Ultra-Light layup. 17" length. 42lb stock weight. Includes ultra-comfortable contoured webbed seats.

The Boundary Waters model is a super stable tripping and fishing platform. If your adventure includes a large load for an extended trip, young kids and/or your favorite canine canoe partner, this canoe is a great option. Plus, it can easily be paddled solo by sitting backwards in the bow seat.

From Wenonah: "Rock-solid stability with high capacity and good glide. The Boundary waters offers a unique blend of excellent stability and easy paddling. Extra fullness throughout the middle gives this canoe extra capacity. The bow and stern height are kept low to catch less wind."

Well cared for boat that was used in outfitting service. Interior and exterior in overall good condition. Bottom of the hull freshly re-coated to the waterline at the end of 2023 paddling season. Gunwales and thwart are nice and straight. At some point it took a ding on the bottom of the stern end and required a small reinforcement patch. Originally, this patch was done on the outside. Generally all patch work should be completed on the inside of the hull for aesthetics and to maintain the original contours of the hull. I sanded down the exterior patch to match the original contour of the hull, then applied the appropriate patch on the inside that turned out nearly invisible (see picture).

I have used the Seat/Yoke from Spring Creek on my tripping boats for over 20 years. Because the yoke sits above the level of the gunwales, you have incredible leverage when hoisting onto your shoulders. There is no more comfortable way to portage a canoe. The yoke's padded slings give and move with you as you bounce down the trail. Plus, your head isn't buried inside the canoe allowing you to see the trail ahead much easier. Because the yoke is above the gunwales, it also allows you to easily slide and position packs in the center of the canoe. A simple pushpin allows you to flip it from yoke to seat. Perfect for when you need a third seat. Online retail is $125 plus $20 in shipping.

A Kevlar canoe is a great investment, particularly in the ultra-light layup. They hold their value like nothing else in the outdoor industry. If cared for, you will get your investment back if/when you decide it's time for a change.
