The Standard Disc Talking Machine Co. existed from October 1901 to March of 1918. The phonographs were made by the Columbia Graphophone Company. The models were A, E, H, L and X. The phonographs used a larger than normal spindle and played records manufactured especially for it. The phonographs were offered as a premium - a customer collected coupons from a shopkeeper and was given a phonograph in exchange for the correct number of coupons. The catch was the phonograph owner could only play the records with the special size spindle hole, which they had to purchase. You might think these records are hard to find, but they are not as they were made for almost 18 years as the coupon scheme proved to be quite popular with retailers. Third Annual Midwest Music Expo show and sale of antique phonographs, records, record cabinets, advertising, radios, and music boxes on:

Saturday, June 15, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Sunday June 16, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Admission for Saturday is $10.00. Admission Sunday is $5.

The show is located at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 1800 East Golf Road, Schaumburg, Illinois 60173. Please note all sales will be cash only. Please join us. Many different makes and models of phonographs will be available for purchase at this show.
